core inflation in December 2022

Core inflation ( the rate of inflation minus food and energy prices )

grew in last December by 11.5% on a year on year basis, compared to

11.4% in November.

The above index has been rising constantly since July 2021. Those numbers

indicate that inflationary pressure still exist in the Polish economy, despite

decreases in the general rate of inflation for the last 2 months.

One point for optimism is, that the rate of growth of basic inflation has been

flattening recently.
