Deflationary tendencies

The volume of retail consumption in February, was down 5%, on a year on year basis

and In constant prices ( eliminating the influence of inflation ). In current prices

Poles paid 10.8% more. The meaning is that, Poles pay more for less.

In February idustrial production fell by 1.2% on a year on year basis. As of GDP

BNP forecast is that in the first quarter of 2023 there will be a drop of 0.4%

in GDP on a year on year basis. Thus highlighting the current deflationary

tendencies in Poland.
