How to return an unwanted gift

As of the beginning of 2023 some changes in the Polish consumer law are going into effect.

Pertaining to the right to return unwanted purchases, it would be as follows:

A customer can return an unwanted item within 14 days of picking it from the shop or receiving a delivery. However the seller should inform the buyer of the above right.

In case of failure to comply with such duty the period in which a purchased item can be returned is extended to one year. if seller notifies purchaser later than the transaction time

the period for returning the unwanted item is extended, being 14 days from the time of the actual notice.

Refund should be effected within 14 days from the time the unwanted is in the possession of the seller. The form in which reimbursement is effected would be identical to the method by which the original payment was executed.
