Originally the minimum distance between wind turbines and residential buildings was 10

times the height of the wind turbine. The polish government have proposed a new distance,

setting it to a distance of 500 meters from the closest residential object.

However during discussions in the Sejm, the distance has been increased to 700 metes.

As a reaction, Google, Ikea, Amazon and Mercedes have written a letter to the Polish

prime minister Mateusz Morawiecki claiming that the setting of such an extreme distance, may have a detrimental effect on the future of the whole Polish green energy industry.
